Wooden Signs

Hello Lovely Friends!

Today I am thankful for inspirational people. The ones I personally look up to and that I probably will never meet (mind you if I got the opportunity I would try ;). The ones where I check their twitter account everyday just too get inspired or be a better person for the day. The ones, who despite their challenges and even tragic circumstances still reflect love, peace and God, I am very grateful for such people! Personally the last two years have been incredibly difficult but it is these lovely leaders like Joyce Meyers, Rick Warren, Greg Laurie, Darlene Zschech and Nicky Gumbel who really have inspired me personally and encouraged me to keep looking up!

My reason for writing this is because I couldn’t decide what quote I should finish this post with as there were too many inspiring ones... so I went with a few today. :)

But before you get to them, here are some photos of wooden signs I have been working on for the markets. I have taken a leaf or two from Aimee Weaver’s lovely artwork which I reference at the bottom of the photo.

I find painting really relaxing ...when our little one is sleeping at the end of the night Nathan and I sit on the sofa and while he watches T.V. or a movie, I paint, of course while watching the movie half heartily! For some reason lately, I find it more relaxing to paint than watch a movie or T.V. isn't that sad? I wouldn't have said that 5 years ago...  ha I’m showing my age now! ;)

Well enjoy the pictures as much as you can given the quality of the photos. If you have any questions please feel free to email. :)

The idea for hinges I got from Aimee Weaver Designs!

This was totally Aimee Weaver’s idea I just changed the quote.

In you're future are many uncertainties, but God’s love for you isn’t one of them.

Trying to forget doesn't work. But you CAN let God give new meaning to bad things that have happened to you. Rom.8:28

Trusting God completely in radical abandonment, even when it doesn't make sense, is what turns ordinary people into saints.

God makes a promise; faith believes it, hope anticipates it, patience waits for it.

Don't cry over the past, it's gone. Don't stress over the future, it hasn't arrived. Live in the present and make the most of every day.

Happy Weekend Friends

  1. I like the 4th one - the design and the quote itself. Thank you for all those inspiring quotes.

I used to try painting when I was younger, during my school days, but I wasn't good really. But I guess I understand how it feels when you paint, just like when I crochet. =)
